Having Problems Using Our Online Search?
Community Information & Referral uses CommunityPoint from Bowman Systems for our Online Directory of Human Services.
From time to time, people have reported getting error messages when performing a search using CommunityPoint. This usually occurs because your internet browser needs to accept cookies to be able to use our database effectively. Due to online security concerns, many browsers have security settings that don't allow for accepting cookies in the way necessary to use our online search.
Here are quick and easy instructions for setting your browser to use our online search.
Internet Explorer users
- On Internet Explorer's menu, click on Tools.
- Click on Internet Options (this is usually at the bottom of the Tools drop down list).
- Click on the Privacy tab.
- Click on the Sites button.
- Under Address of web site:, type cir.org.
- Click on the Allow button.
- Under Address of web site:, type servicept.com.
- Click on the Allow button.
- Click on OK.
- Click on OK on the Internet Options box.
- You should now be able to use our online database.
Firefox users
- On Firefox's menu, click on Tools.
- Click on Options from the drop down menu.
- Click on the Privacy tab.
- Click on the Exceptions button.
- Under Address of web site:, type cir.org.
- Click on the Allow button.
- Under Address of web site:, type servicept.com.
- Click on the Allow button.
- Click on the Close button.
- Click on OK on the Options box.
- You should now be able to use our online database.
If you are using a different browser, please consult your browser's "Help" function for assistance in accepting cookies.
By following the instructions above, you should now be able to use our Online Directory of Human Services without any difficulties.
